In the style of a Shakespearean sonnet. Recite it aloud!

Simply Extraordinary

I see how I often complicate things,
In the quagmire of thoughts, I lose the plot;
Too many options and layers and rings,
I second-guess myself into a knot.

Behold the Taj’s effortless beauty,
A pyramid’s unadorned impress;
The lucid strength of Relativity,
The plain force of non-violent protest.

Great people sense what to keep and what to throw,
They pare away all but the essential,
Like Jobs, Chopin, Lao Tzu, and Thoreau;
I’ll make you gifts from tangled potential,

If I work out in the time left to me,
How to be simply extraordinary.
